Alaska has to be one if not the most pristine places in the world. From the cold deep blue pacific waters to the Majestic snow capped Mountains and the abundant wild life, Alaska is a sportsman's paradise. Just a few days in Alaska will make you feel like you're a part of nature as the bald eagles fly overhead and you ride the swells with gigantic whales, sea lions and of course BIG FISH. Alaska is most noted for the 40# plus King Salmon and the 100# plus Halibut, but there is much more than that in Alaska. Until you've spent 6 hours pulling in dancing silver salmon, one after another, or spent an hour or two pulling up a 300# barn door Halibut in 500 ft. of water or felt the power of an 80# King, you haven't experienced Alaska fishing as it's meant to be. Homer Alaska at the lower tip of the Kanai Peninsula is most well known for abundance of big Halibut, but when it comes down to it they are everywhere. So are the Salmon. You can try your hand at mooching or trolling for Kings and Silvers in the ocean or take a guided trip up some of the great rivers of Alaska and try your hand at everything that spawns. It's a trip of a lifetime and not as expensive as you might think. Check out our Hotel, Travel and Charter pages for some super rates. By the way there is also some good eating fish in Alaska that most people never hear about like rock fish, Ling Cod and yelloweye. Whether you just like to catch and release with rapid pace fishing or wish to return home with a box or two of fish fillets to impress your friends and feed the family...Alaska is the place. Alaska is also a great place to take the family even if they aren't interested in fishing. There are a lot of tours, scenery, history, whale watching, great food and of course nature. If you haven't experienced Alaska, you owe it to yourself. You deserve it.
